On 23th July 2026, the JUSTURBANITIES consortium gathered in Sopot, Poland, for its 4th Transnational Partner Meeting. Our Polish partner Stowarzyszenie Na Drodze Ekspresji (SNDE) hosted it at Mamuszki 14, a lively community space by the Baltic Sea and a fitting place to talk about participation and neighbourhood life.
Over two intensive days, partners from Germany, Sweden, Poland, Austria, Italy and Romania worked side by side on the project’s core outputs:
- The educational game. We moved forward on the design of the digital game on urban justice, which turns real participatory processes into playable stories.
- The training curriculum. Together we co-created the structure and content of the multilingual curriculum for educators, facilitators and local stakeholders.
- Participation and urban challenges. We discussed how participatory methods can help cities and communities respond to overlapping crises, from housing and climate to social cohesion.
- The JUSTURBANITIES podcast. We planned the next episode of our podcast series.
- Local initiatives. We visited grassroots projects across Sopot and saw first-hand how local communities shape their neighbourhoods.
Every discussion brought us closer to practical tools that help municipalities, NGOs, educators and citizens build more just and resilient neighbourhoods. Next, we will test the game and curriculum with local stakeholder groups in the partner cities.
